Santos Milagros Torres Ortiz

Dear Family and Friends,

We are writing with heavy hearts to share that our beloved S. Milagros Torres Ortiz, age 79, peacefully passed away on May 24, 2026. Born on October 3, 1946, she was a beautiful light in our lives—a devoted steward of God’s word and a gifted teacher who poured her heart into ministering to children for many years.

Milagros truly cherished her role as "Lela" to her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife to Usberto Ortiz for 56 years and a deeply loving mother to her daughters, Emily and Debbie. A long-time resident of Polk County, Florida, she will always be remembered for her incredible strength, intuition, and unwavering faith.

She is survived by her husband, Usberto; her loving family and all of her many precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We feel so grateful for the time we had with her and take comfort in knowing she is at rest until we meet again.
