Born in Den Amstel, Guyana, he was known for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and peaceful nature. He found joy in gardening, traveling, cooking, drawing, watching movies, and spending time with his family.

He spent his early years in Den Amstel in the villages of Fellowship and Hague, before moving to Georgetown. He later married his beloved late wife, Mary Claudette Thorne, and together they had two children, Roderick Thorne and Allison Thorne.

Percival served honorably for several years in the Guyana Police Force at Brickdam Police Station in Georgetown before migrating to the United States with his family. He later worked as Surveillance/Patrol Officer at Brookdale Hospital, where he retired after many years of dedicated service.

In later years, Percival married Monica Best Thorne and moved to Kissimmee, Florida, where he spent the final chapter of his life.

Percival will be remembered as a kind-hearted gentleman whose love, warmth, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. He deeply cherished time spent with his children and family. The love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of his children, family, and dear friends who will hold him close always.
