Patricia Ann McCoggle

April 14, 1945 — February 3, 2026

Patricia Ann Mc Coggle, affectionately known as Trisha or Pat, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Plant City, Florida, at the age of 80. Born on April 14, 1945, Patricia was a radiant soul, whose life was marked not only by her nurturing spirit but also by her unwavering commitment to family and community.

Prior to her retirement, Patricia was a valued employee at Lykes Brothers, where she worked as a Packer. Yet, it was her innate caregiving nature that truly defined her legacy—she tended to countless elderly family members and friends with selfless love and compassion. A proud graduate of Marshall High School, Patricia carried a sense of dignity and class in everything she did, offering a glimpse of her beautiful soul to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

A talented poet and writer, Patricia expressed herself through the written word, capturing the beauty of the human experience. Her deep faith was evident in her service to her church community, where she fulfilled various roles, including proud membership on the Trustee board, a Missionary, and serving as a lead singer at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church. Her love for God came to life in her dedication to church activities, where she nurtured others while herself serving in manifold capacities.

Patricia’s captivating spirit extended beyond her public life; she embodied a personality that was nurturing, loving, and profoundly caring. There wasn’t anyone she wouldn’t help, and her generous heart was matched only by her keen sense of style. Always well-dressed, she carried herself with a poise that commanded admiration, earning respect from family, friends, and community members alike.

Among her most cherished accomplishments were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—an impressive testament to her enduring legacy. Patricia is survived by her children: Bridgette Honors, Timothy Glenn, Patrick Glenn, and Devan Broadnax (Robbin); her siblings: Theresa Walker (James), Shirley Taylor, Alfonso Brown, Carolyn Brown, Lenard Brown, Luthnia Gainer, Sally Mae Scott, and Frank McDonald; and an adoring host of grandchildren, including Devetrius Hardy, Marcus Glenn, Kordae Green, Devanshae Broadnax, TiShambria Chisom (Christopher), Devanique Broadnax, Austin Bingham, Taylor Broadnax, Raeven Broadnax, Ashley Glenn, Taelor Martin (Jay), Ethan Broadnax, and Hudson Broadnax. She is also holding dear her special sisters: Lois Guion (Rudolph), Sug Hawkins, and Kay and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Patricia is predeceased by her parents, Theodrick Brown and Arrie Mae Boyd, as well as her siblings: Theodrick Brown Jr., Keith Bernard Brown, Berthnia Griffin, Judy McDonald, Leola McDonald, Clarence McDonald, Ernest McDonald, and David McDonald.

A Visitation to celebrate Patricia's remarkable life will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida, on February 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
