Marie Emaniese Fleurzil, lovingly known as "Emanies," passed away on August 16, 2025, in Poinciana, Florida, at the age of 79. Born on May 28, 1946, in Au Cayes, Port Au Prince, Marie was a beacon of warmth and kindness in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
She was a woman whose spirit touched the hearts of all who encountered her. Marie was known for her unconditional love and support, always lending an ear without judgment and offering the wisest advice, often accompanied by a touch of humor that would ease the burdens of many. Her gentle hugs were a source of comfort, and her laughter resonated with those who shared moments with her, creating a sense of belonging that enveloped everyone around her.
Marie’s life was defined by her warmth, selflessness, and a deep caring nature that made all who crossed her path feel welcomed and loved. Whether through her delicious cooking or her mere presence, she had an incredible ability to uplift others. She was admired not only for her strength and wisdom but also for the grace with which she navigated life’s challenges.
Her family was her pride and joy, and some of her most cherished accomplishments included raising her children, Jonel and Laurette Borgella, and serving as a constant source of love and guidance for her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Marie created unbreakable bonds within her family through the traditions she established, instilling values of kindness, perseverance, and faith that will continue to guide her loved ones.
Marie's dedication to her church was another significant part of her life, where she found fulfillment in serving and being involved. Her legacy of hope, love, and empowerment will surely resonate through the generations that follow.
Marie is predeceased by her beloved spouse, Lucien Borgella. She is survived by her two children, Jonel and Laurette, her seven grandchildren, and her two great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
A visitation will be held in her honor at St. Mary's Primitive Baptist Church in Haines City, Florida, on August 30, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life service from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM.
