It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Marie Delourdes Aurelus Derismond, who left this world on July 11, 2026, in Kissimmee, Florida, at the age of 50. Born on November 20, 1975, in the vibrant community of Arcahaie, Haiti, Marie’s life was marked by unwavering love, steadfast resilience, and a selfless devotion to family.
From a young age, Marie revealed an indomitable spirit—a woman of remarkable strength who faced life’s challenges with unparalleled courage. She was the heart and soul of those blessed to know her, and the legacy she leaves behind is woven through every memory, every kind gesture, and every sacrifice made for those she loved.
A devoted wife to Prosterne Derismond and a nurturing mother to Marie Derismond, Marie Desterline, Dehinson Derismond, and Roobenson Derismond, Marie’s world revolved around her family. She gave everything for her children—never faltering, never giving up, always putting their happiness and well-being above her own. Her guidance, warmth, and laughter became the foundation upon which her loved ones built their lives.
Marie’s spirit of generosity extended beyond her own household. Described by all who knew her as a woman with a big heart, she was always willing to help others, no matter the circumstances or how she herself had been treated. Her compassion knew no bounds, and her home was a sanctuary where anyone could find understanding and care.
The immense loss felt by her family and friends is a testament to the irreplaceable place she held in their lives. She is survived by her loving husband, Prosterne; her cherished children, Marie, Marie Desterline, Dehinson, and Roobenson; her devoted father, Demostherne Aurelus; her caring mother, Marguerite Erilus; her sisters Aurelia, Andrena, and Magdala Aurelus; and her brothers Julis and Andre Aurelus. Their sorrow is deep, but it is a sorrow infused with gratitude for the time spent, the memories shared, and the love received.
In remembering Marie, her children lovingly reflect, “You were a huge part of us. You leave a great emptiness in our hearts, and we will never forget you. You taught us how to live in this world, but you never taught us how to live without you.” The lessons she imparted and the values she stood for remain eternal—echoes of a life lived with dignity, grace, and boundless love.
A visitation will be held in her honor on July 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Orlando, 4459 N Pine Hills Rd, Pine Hills, FL. The following day, July 19, 2026, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, as her family and friends gather to pay tribute to a remarkable woman and a cherished soul.
As her children so aptly express, “I love you, Mom. May God take care of you wherever you are. Thank you for the beautiful moments we shared, for the laughter you gave us, and for all the blessings.” Marie Delourdes Aurelus Derismond leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to guide and inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
