Leroy Feagin Sr.

Leroy Feagin Sr., a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 31, 2025, in Auburndale, Florida, at the age of 86. Born on June 17, 1939, in Georgiana, Alabama, he dedicated 40 years to Florida Natural, where he not only excelled in his career but also left a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Leroy was a man whose laughter filled every room he entered, with a personality that radiated warmth and kindness. He was known for his love of family, often expressing it in the little things he did and the big dreams he had for them. He took exceptional care of his family, ensuring that each member felt valued and loved. His strong faith in God was a guiding light throughout his life, and he often shared this love through the beautiful music he created with his guitar. His soulful singing resonated deeply with those fortunate enough to hear him.

Leroy is survived by his sister Gladys Lawson. His  devoted children: Gwendolyn Feagin, Leroy Feagin Jr. (Karla), Sheila Iles (Louis), Earnest Feagin, and Larry Feagin. He was a proud grandfather to Brittany Alexander (Bobby), Jonathon Feagin (Medesha), Christopher Feagin, Leroy Feagin III, Samya Feagin, Taylor Wells, Larry Feagin Jr., and Christina Bridley-Colon, and was adored by his granddaughter, Sy'Riah Lomilus. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit, reflecting the love and laughter he shared with them.

Leroy was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Feagin Sr., his mother, Myra Crittenden, and his beloved wife, Ernestine Feagin, each of whom he held close in his heart and memories.

The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Leroy's life during a visitation on September 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 640 Burns Ave, Lake Wales, FL. A Celebration of Life will follow on September 13, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM, and concluding with a burial at Lake Wales Cemetery at 12:30PM.

As we gather to honor this remarkable man who brought joy to so many, we remember Leroy Feagin Sr. not just for the years he lived, but for the impact he made on every soul fortunate to cross his path. He will forever remain in our hearts, his laughter echoing in our memories, and his love illuminating our lives.
