Joan Elma Halls

Joan Elma Halls, 90 years old journeyed off in spirit to the Author & Finisher of life on January 14, 2024 in Kissimmee, Florida. Joan was born on February 4,1933 in St. Andrews, Jamaica, West Indies to parents Daniel Halls and Leanora West, both deceased. Joan emigrated from her native land in 1988 to reside in Florida. This enriching change brought her a whole new world of wonderful experiences much to her delight.

Joan's earlier years saw her through the necessary stages of school from which she went on into the working world of self provision,, making herself an industrious woman. Joan was a lady who inclined herself towards sewing and knitting, a craft she did well in various styles & form in her yesteryear. She mastered other things of personal interest which served to be her productive well-being. Joan was a self-preserved of a decent and principled woman, who had her love and reverence for God in her own humbled way.

Joan responsibly was a strict disciplinarian and caregiver when it came to children's upbringing, in having them aware of some level of understanding of their human self-worth and value. This became beneficial to them in adulthood.

Joan is survived by her two (2) daughters, Pearline and Velma; six (6) grandchildren, Huron, Marcia, Dianne, Seiba, Cheryl and Stanley; twenty five (25) great grandchildren and five (5) great great grandchildren for which thanks is given; Joan being the root of us all. Additionally, she leaves to cherish her memories many wonderful nieces, nephews and relatives in Jamaica and the United States in whose lives she impacted  magnificently.

A Visitation for Joan will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Faith Family Outreach Ministry. The Celebration of Life will also be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Family Outreach Ministry 317 N. Randolph Avenue Kissimmee, Florida 34741.
