Jean G. Pamphile

December 11, 1960 — May 8, 2026

Winter Haven, Florida

Jean G. Pamphile, affectionately known to many as Gerard, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, in Winter Haven, Florida. Born on December 11, 1960, in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, Jean lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and an unwavering commitment to integrity and respect.

Jean’s early education at Iycee Toussaint laid a strong foundation, which he built upon by studying construction management. His love for assisting with building homes was more than a career—it was a passion that reflected his dedication to crafting spaces where families could grow and create memories. He was a man who found joy in labor and who took great pride in contributing to his community through his skilled work.

Renowned for his wise counsel and warm personality, Jean was a true pillar of strength to those who knew him. He embodied respect, not only for others but also for himself—a quality that made him deeply admired and cherished. His storytelling and infectious humor brought light and laughter into countless lives, making him a beloved presence among family and friends. Jean’s spirit of joy and kindness symbolized hope and unity, and he was indeed someone everyone wanted around.

His most treasured accomplishment was ensuring that all of his children received higher education, deeply valuing the opportunities that learning provided to better themselves and their futures. This commitment to his children’s success stands as a testament to his vision and love as a father.

Jean is survived by his significant other, Rosemarie Colas; his ten children—Gerard Pamphile, Roselaure Pamphile, Widelaine Pamphile, Geraldine Benjamin, Fritz Gerald Pamphile, Guyvenson Pamphile, Emmanuella Pamphile, Mackendy Pamphile, Pierre Charles Pamphile, Nathalie Pamphile—and thirteen siblings, along with seventeen grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his enduring legacy. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerard Pamphile, and his mother, Eloise Benjamain.

Throughout his life, Jean cherished time spent playing dominoes, dancing, telling jokes, and spreading laughter—simple joys that exemplified his warm and generous nature. He was a hard-working man with a profound love for his family, who valued togetherness above all else.
