Jayvyn Levon McFadden

January 10, 2005 — December 2, 2025

Lake Wales, Florida

Jayvyn Levon McFadden was born on January 10, 2005, to Shantae Benton and Levonzo McFadden. He was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Eddie and Gloria Benton, who instilled in him strong Christian values, deep compassion, and a resilient spirit. Jayvyn was the affectionate husband of Layla Miller-McFadden, and together they were blessed with beautiful fraternal twins: Jayvyn Levon McFadden Jr. and Milani-Leslie McFadden, who became the joy of his life and the motivation behind his determination to build a promising future.

As a youth, Jayvyn was a faithful member of God’s Children, the Family Church’s youth department, and was an active member of Royal Priesthood. There he learned that he was a member of a royal priesthood and was taught to thank God for accepting him into God’s royal family and allowing him to be a priest in his community. Jayvyn matriculated through the Polk County Public School System and Lake Wales Charter Schools, where he left a lasting impression on administrators, teachers, and peers. Through perseverance and a desire to provide for his family, he proudly graduated from QIV – Quad Tech Academy in Lake Wales, FL. He was preparing to attend Job Corps in Jacksonville, FL on December 15, 2025, to pursue a trade in welding, an opportunity he looked forward to with excitement and hope.

Jayvyn was known for his loving nature, infectious laugh, and playful personality. His energy could brighten even the darkest room, and his joyful presence lifted the spirits of everyone around him. A hard worker and a young man of determination, whatever Jayvyn set his mind to, he achieved. Though he faced challenges and setbacks, the love he had for his wife and children helped him refocus and prioritize what truly mattered most. On December 2, 2025, Heaven called Jayvyn home to eternal rest. Though his time with us was short, his life was full, and his impact was great.

Jayvyn was preceded in death by his grandmother, Debra McFadden; his grandfather, Levonzo Roberson; his great-grandmothers, Ernestine Benton and Gussie Williams; his aunt, Shavonda McFadden; and his cousin, Vincent Thomas Jr.

Jayvyn leaves to cherish fond memories his loving wife, Layla Miller-McFadden; his children, Jayvyn Jr. and Milani-Leslie McFadden; his mother, Shantae Benton; his father, Levonzo McFadden; his grandparents, Eddie and Gloria Benton; and his siblings, Jakayla McFadden and Chancetin Jones. He is also survived by his aunts: Lakeisha (Terrance) Barfield, Chiara Bienaime, and Cynthia (Tommie) Mickle; his uncles: Cornell (Melissa) Benton and Kerry McFadden; his cousins: Eric Burkes, Salena Bryant, Cornell Benton Jr., My’Miracle Bienaime, My’Promise Noble, William Ceaser IV, and Antravies English; his godparents, Roxanne and Antnoi Anderson; and a host of other loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Though his time with us was short, Jayvyn’s life was full, and his impact was great. The legacy he leaves behind will continue to shine through all who loved him.
