Mr. Christopher Wayne Howard most affectionately known as “Chris” passed away on June 4, 2023 in Orlando, Florida at the age of 62. He was born on June 5, 1961 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to his parents, Helena Bomer and Nathaniel Howard.
Mr. Howard later met and married the love of his life, Betty Jean Dunham and they shared 20 years of marriage together. His educational foundation began in the Philadelphia School System and he continued on to further his education at Norfolk State from 1980 to 1982 on a Football Scholarship. He became a Professional Chef for several restaurants and hotels for 30 years. He had a family owned catering business before retiring due to chronic illness. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, football and spending time with his family.
Mr. Howard was a proud servant of God, serving at Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ; Greater Bethel, Philadelphia, Pennyslvania (Elder Ben Fisher); Bibleway Churches worldwide; Bibleway Church of Deliverance, Trenton, New Jersey (Apostle A. Phillip Parrot); Covenant Keepers International Alliance; Love Fellowship Tabernacle, Bensalem, Pennsylvania (Bishop Hezekiah X. Walker); United Fellowship of the World and Greater Works, Winter Haven, Florida (Bishop Joe N. and Pastor Debra A. Halman). He also served apart of the Security, Culinary and Deacon ministries. His work for Christ impacted everyone who knew him and he will be truly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Helena and Nathaniel Howard, his daughter, Alexis Capri and his brother, Gregory Howard.
Mr. Christopher Wayne Howard leaves his devoted wife of 20 years, Betty Jean Howard; his children, Christopher Wayne (Oneida), Nataay Nicole, Hellena, Breon, Briea Jean’e; his siblings, Rowena Gravely, Ronald Howard; his grandchildren, Lamaiya, Lamaj, Chaniyah, Aniyah, Journey Alexis, Aaliyah, Ahzir, Zyion, Milah; his great-grandchildren, Nasim, Tahleem, Essence; his nieces, Imani, Shanika, Tia, Mya, Ava, Neriah; nhis nephews, Quentin, Quenshawn, Rahsaan, Micheal, Jeremiah, Ezra, Roland, Jacob; his mother-in-love, Barbara A. Dunham; his father-in-love, Billy R. Dunham; his siblings-in-love, William D. Dunham, Wynton L. Dunham (Marilyn), Craig A. Dunham (Nneka), Tonya M. Beals (Gerald A. Beals-deceased), Audrey Pierce, India Muskelly (Roland), his aunt- in-love, Aunt Ruth Pierce; grandmother-in-love, Ruth E. Pierce (Samuel); his spiritual parents, Joe and Corine Green and a host of extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish his legacy.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:00a.m. at Love Fellowship Tabernacle 5918 Hulmeville Road Bensalem, Pennsylvania.
There will also be a Celebration of Life held at Greater Works Church of Winter Haven, Florida service details will be available soon.
