Carmen Matos Martinez

Carmen Matos Martinez, 83, of Winter Haven, Fl., passed away on September 3rd, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on November 23rd, 1941 in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico to Juana Nevarez & Jose Martinez. Carmen lived a life filled with love, strength, and compassion. She worked hard to maintain her family together. Family was always number one for her and she dedicated herself to her family and community.

Carmen was known for being compassionate, kind, and had a somewhat sense of humor. Carmen was resilient and most of all faithful. She enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, and being close to family. She created many cherished memories with those she loved.

She is survived by her sons and daughter (Luis, Angel Matos and family, and Maria Rosado and family. Her sister Rosario Hernandez and Family as well as grandchildren. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Miguel Matos, and parents Juana Nevarez and Jose Martinez.

A visitation will be held at 233 N 9th Street. Haines City, Fl. 33844 at Richard Funeral Services on September 5th, 2025 at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Burial services will be held at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Winter Haven, Fl. at 12:30p.m. Family and friends are welcomed to attend and celebrate her life.

Her warmth, love, and legacy will continue to live on in all who knew her.
