It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Anne Desir, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, who departed this world on May 29, 2025, in Davenport, Florida. Born on October 27, 1967, in Artibonite, Haiti, Anne's vibrant spirit and unyielding zeal for life resonated with all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Anne's professional journey led her to the magical realm of Walt Disney World, where her dedication and enthusiasm were unmatched. She found joy in sharing her passion for this enchanting environment with countless guests, exemplifying the magic that the resort embodied. Her warmth and kindness left indelible marks on the hearts of her co-workers and the families she delighted.
Beyond her working life, Anne cherished her role as a devoted wife to her beloved husband of 35 years, Simon Laguerre. Together, they forged a partnership that was as inspiring as it was enduring. Anne's heart truly blossomed as a mother; she took immense pride in raising her three sons, Eberson, Alexander, and Jeremiah Laguerre. Her love was the cornerstone of their family, nurturing the bonds that held them close.
In addition to her familial commitments, Anne was deeply engaged in her community, especially in her love for her church and her fondness for embarking on cruises. Each experience was an opportunity to create lasting memories which she recounted with infectious laughter and enthusiasm.
Anne's journey, though marked by great joys, was also accompanied by the sadness of loss. She carried the memory of her father, Okil Desir, and her mother, Letancia Andre, whom she held dear in her heart. Their legacies of love undoubtedly influenced her compassionate nature and unwavering strength.
In a celebration of her remarkable life, loved ones and well-wishers are invited to gather for a Memorial Service at Beraca First Haitian Baptist Church in Haines City, Florida, on June 6, 2025, at 6:00 PM. This will be followed by a Visitation and Celebration of Life on June 7, 2025, at 3930 Old Rd 37 in Lakeland, Florida, commencing at 9:30 AM. The day will culminate with a burial at Serenity Gardens in Lakeland, Florida at 1:00 PM, where family and friends will lay Anne to rest.
While Anne's presence will be profoundly missed, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing her. Her laughter will echo through cherished memories, and her legacy will live on through her cherished family and the many lives she touched.
