Alex Robert Soto, lovingly known as “Big Al,” passed away on September 18, 2026, in Wesley Chepel, Florida. He was born on July 17, 1976, in Manhattan, New York. His passing leaves a deep ache in the hearts of those who knew him, while his memory remains a source of love, laughter, and strength.
Alex was remembered as funny, kind, strong, loving, and generous. He had a way of making people feel seen and cared for, always making sure that everyone around him felt loved, appreciated, and taken care of. That same devotion was especially present in the way he loved his family and friends, giving of himself freely and creating a lasting sense of warmth wherever he went.
He found joy in the things he loved most. Alex enjoyed playing video games and comic books, and he was a devoted fan of Captain America and all of Marvel. He followed his favorite teams and entertainment with enthusiasm, cheering for the New York Yankees, Knicks, Giants, and WWE. He also took pride in his large collection of collectibles. Among all of his interests, some of his happiest moments were spent playing with his grandchildren, whose presence brought him tremendous joy.
Of all the blessings in his life, Alex was proudest of his two daughters and his grandchildren. They were at the center of his heart and a reflection of the love he carried throughout his life.
Alex is survived by his beloved wife, Allison Soto; his daughters, Crystalli and Alexa; and his grandchildren, Faye and Stiles, who will carry forward cherished memories of his love and playful spirit. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy Soto; his brother, Ney; his sister, Nani; his uncles, Tony, Hugo, and Dario; and his aunts, Amy and Cenia. Each of them shared in the gift of his presence and will remember him with deep affection. He was preceded in death by his father, Nelson Soto and his grandmother Altagracia Soto.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Alex on September 23, 2026, at Richard Funeral Services, 233 N. 9th Street, Haines City, Florida 33844. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Burial will take place afterward from 3:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 1917 County Rd 547, Davenport, Florida 33837.
Alex Robert Soto will be remembered for his generous heart, his humor, his strength, and the love he gave so freely. In the lives of his family, friends, and all who knew “Big Al,” his memory will continue to live on with tenderness and gratitude.
